The biomechanical stability of intraocular lenses (IOLs) must achieve high-quality optical performance and clinical outcomes after cataract surgery. For this reason, the quality features IOLs should be previously analysed following Standard ISO 11979-2 11979-3. 11979-3 tries to reproduce behaviour IOL in capsular bag by compressing lens between two clamps. With test, it has been demonstrated that haptic design is a crucial factor obtain stability.
